Shadows in the Sand Abstract I headed to Sloans Lake

I headed to Sloans Lake for some afternoon light on a November afternoon

California while in town for the holiday

As I walked on the new walkway towards the Whale Sculpture in Juneau

With the large change in tides which takes place every six hours this is not too uncommon as the weather starts to get cooler as was the case when I took this in November one year

Noticing that the wind was blowing out of the south I found myself south of airport to photograph takeoffs

Shadows in the Sand Abstract I headed to Sloans LakeI made a third trip into the sand dunes at Death Valley National Park at sunrise during my time at the park and was treated with some direct light which gave the deep shadows in the sand. With an earlier in the week wind storm as well as a more remote area in the sand dunes I found may areas without footprints giving the texture of the sand blown into this appearance by the wind.
